Hard Candy's All Glossed Up Hydrating Lip Stain Review

Hello out there.
Today I have for you a review on Hard Candy's All Glossed Up Lip Stain.
These are $5.00 each from Walmart.

First for some photos:

 Now for some swatches:
Cupcake is a light, pale pink.

Pout is a medium, bright pink.

Pros:
-Feels nice & soft on lips
-Has long staying power on the lips even after the gloss has worn off the color remains
-Low price point
-Pretty colors

Cons:
-Not a wide color range
-Not widely available (only at Walmart or their website)
-Weird Smell, almost like cardboard

Overall, I am happy with the two that I own. They only thing that I would change would be the smell. You can only smell it when you put it up to your nose though, it isn't noticeable when applying it to the lips.

Until next time...

Review on L.A. Colors 24 Eyeshadow Palettes

Hello lovelies,
Today I would like to share with you my thoughts on L.A. Colors Eyes Palettes. I picked up both of these from my local Rite Aid & they were both only $2.99. Both palettes contain 24 eyeshadows. Now let's take a closer look at these babies.

Left: Colorful Times
Right: Moody Nudes

Now for swatches. (all were done without primer)
Let's look at Colorful Times first:

 First Row
Second Row

 Third Row

Fourth Row

Now for Moody Nudes:
 First Row

 Second Row

 Third Row

Fourth Row

Now lets get into pros & cons.

Pros:
-You get 24 shadows for only $2.99
-Good pigmentation
-Nice shades
-No animal testing

Cons:
-Shadows do have a bit of fall out
-Colorful Times has 5 blue shadows all of which look really alike
-No mattes

I would say that if you were only going to pick up one of these then to go for Moody Nudes since Colorful Times has 5 blues that look so much alike. I'm honestly not huge on blue shadows though so that is personal preference. I really enjoy Moody Nudes color selection.

Well, that's all for now.

Until next time...

NYX Natural Palette

Hello lovelies.
Today I want to share with you my thoughts on NYX's Natural palette along with some photos.
First of all this palette costs about $7.00. You can purchase it from the NYX's website here, from Cherry Culture here, or from your local Ulta store or their website here.

So here is a look at the palette itself:

This palette looks really cute. Unfortunately though, this doesn't have the great pigmentation that I have come to expect from NYX.

Take a look (all shades swatched with any primer):

The 1st shade is a slightly pearly, sheer, white shade. The texture is quite soft & smooth though.
The 2nd shade is a glittery yellow with LOADS of fallout. Unlike the 1st shade the texture on this shade is a dry. I think due to the amount of glitter in it.
The 3rd shade is a fairly matte orange-y brown shade. In the pan this looks like a nice color but as you can see from the photo above it is SO sheer that it's basically not there. The texture is soft & smooth.
The 4th shade is a light brown that has a slight golden touch to it. Like the 3rd shade this looks nice in the pan but it basically just doesn't show up. The texture is soft & smooth.

The 5th shade is a taupe-ish shade that maybe leans a little on the brown side. I would say that this shade has a satin finish. The texture is soft & smooth.
The 6th shade is very dark chocolate brown that can almost look black. It has VERY tiny glitters in it. Once on the eye though the glitter really doesn't show up much at all so it ends up looking kind of matte. As you can see this is the most pigmented of the bunch but still isn't super awesome like most other NYX shadows that I have tried. The texture is soft & smooth.

Even though the pigmentation isn't all that great I think that the $7.00 isn't a bad price for this considering that a NYX single eyeshadow is $4.50. So, would I purchase this again? I'm not sure. Even though I have gotten use out of it I fill that I have other shades in my collection like these that are more pigmented. This would be really good for someone just starting out in makeup though.

I hope that this was helpful.
Until next time...

Almay Wakeup Eyeshadow Quads

Hello lovelies.
I hope that you are all doing well.
Today I wanted to share with you some thoughts on Almay's Wakeup Eyeshadows since they have been showing up at Big Lots, & also on sale at Walgreens. I unfortunately paid full priced for these when they first cam out about a year ago I think.

Here's a look at all 3 of the quads:

From left to right: Exhilarate, Invigorate, Revive

On the left side of each of these quads there is a cream primer. I have had these for almost a year now & the cream hasn't tried out at all which is nice. I also like that they have the primer in here because honestly these shadows need some type of base. Let me show you what I mean.

First up, Exhilarate:
Here is everything swatched by itself, in cluding the primer. So, the shadows are just over bare skin.

Here are the shadows swatched over the primer. It really helps out that taupe-ish shade.

Now for Invigorate:
Again, here is everything swatched by it self, primer included. Notice how this primer almost has a blue-ish flash to it? It is SUPER pretty in person. The only down side is you really can't wear that by itself because it will crease like crazy.

Here are the shadows swatched over the primer. This quad has a lot of fall out. I don't really have that problem with the other two so maybe I got a bad one? I'm really not sure but it makes it really difficult to work with.

Lastly, Revive:

You guessed it, here is everything swatched by itself.

And here are the shadows swatched over the primer. This quad is my personal favorite. The green doesn't really pop like I want it to but it is still really pretty in person & looks nice on the eye.

So, would I recommend that you pick these up on sale? Eh, I would say you could skip these. Almay has never really been known for having awesome shadows & these live up to that low expecation.
Would I pay full price for these again? No way. Like I said, I have had these for almost a year now & at first I used Revive quite regularly but I haven't reached for it since because I just have better shadows in my collection.
I do think that these would be nice for a beginner though or for "play" makeup if you have a little one. Other than that these are just kinda "blah". I could defiantly live without them.

Until next time...

Walgreens Stocking Stuffers

Hello all.
Every year I get excited to see what is in the stocking stuffer section at Walgreens. This year did not disappoint. Here's a look at what I scored.

 Left to Right:
L.A. Girl Colorbalm in LA Party Pink, Paris Pink, & London Nude then Bellatrix Lipgloss in Cotton Candy

Now for some swatches:
L.A. Girl Colorbalm in LA Party Pink- $2

L.A. Girl Colorbalm in Paris Pink- $2

L.A. Colorbalm in London Nude- $2

Bellatrix Lipgloss in Cotton Candy- $1

I'm really happy with my findings. They had a bunch of other things. I was most excited about finding the L.A. Colorbalms. They are awesome & for only $2? You can't beat that.

That's all for now!

Revlon's Evening Opulence Collection 2013 Lip Products in Invite Only, Provocative, & Bejeweled

After searching & searching for this collection I finally found it! The display had been a bit picked over but I did manage to score both Lip Butters & one of the Colorburst Glosses.

Here they are:

Let's talk about the Lip Butters first. Unlike the Lip Butters in the regular line the outside packaging isn't the same color of the actual Lip Butters. Instead, they are both silver. The actual Lip Butters LOOK like they are a teal & purple color but sadly they come out clear. Let's take a look.

Left: Invite Only
Right: Provocative

At the top of my hand I have swatched Invite Only & the bottom is Provocative.
Now for an even closer look.

This is Invite Only. If you look super close you can see little bits of glitter. This one has more of a teal-ish colored glitter.

This is Provocative. As you can see the glitter in this one is more of a purple glitter.

I have only seen a couple reviews of these so far & both people said that they don't like the look of glitter on their lips so they aren't too thrilled with these. I honestly don't really noticed the glitter since it is so tiny. What disappoints me the most about these is that they look exactly the SAME on lips. I was hoping that they would have a bit of pigment when applied but they don't. These usually run around $8.00 & I would say that these are NOT worth that price. If you were really wanting to try these I would say to just pick one & just remember that here in the USA if you save the receipt you can return them.

Now for the Colorburst Gloss:
   Bejeweled

There were two other colors of the Colorburst Glosses in this collection but they honestly didn't interest me. In the tube this looks like a smokey lilac color, if that makes sense. Now for a swatch.

Once I got this home & swatched it for the first time I realized that it reminded me of another Revlon gloss that has been discontinued. The Super Lustrous gloss in Lilac Pastel, the one in the old formula. So I did a little comparison.

As you can see from the photo above the Colorburst one has a bit more of a pink look to it compared to the Super Lustrous one which is a true lilac. They are similar though. I would say that if you really love the Lilac Pastel one & wanted to cry when they didn't bring it back when they revamped the line (like me) then I would say that this is a good substitute for it but not really a dupe.

That's all for now! Hope you are all well.

Until next time...
